The countries and their territories reflect a wide time period within Western history; therefore, we have countries such as Prussia, Norway, Denmark, Scotland and Ireland alongside more antiquated nations such as Rome and Sardinia. At the bottom of the map, there is an illustrated progression of naval technologies, from simple sloops to the mighty steamship.
